If you want to run a Google image search to get more information about it, you need to know this secret Google trick. Check the details.
We all know how to run a Google search. Just go to Google’s website or mobile app and enter the query. This is the easy part. But what if you have an image that you want to search for more information. It can be a cute dress or a cool pair of shoes, or just a funny meme. More often than not, we usually end up asking our friends about it in hopes that they can provide us with the answer. But that’s not the most efficient way to go about it. What if we told you that you can search by image on Google to find out more about any image easily. Read on to learn more about this trick from Google.
Google search by image
Most of us use various social media apps extensively. We are all added to various friend groups on WhatsApp and Telegram and carefully browse posts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. But what if you just came across a curious image and wanted to know more about it. It can be a celebrity whose name you forget or a beautiful place whose name you are looking for for your next trip. As we mentioned earlier, asking the sender isn’t always a reliable way to gather information.
What you can do instead is just Google the image itself and the search engine will show you all the indexed pages that contain that image (or similar images). You are very likely to find information this way very easily.
And how can you use this feature? It’s very easy. And no, you don’t have to download or install anything. The feature is already available on your Android smartphone. Check out the two ways to do it below.
How to search by image with Google
The first method is a bit long, but it works well for images you already have in your phone’s memory. Open the Google app/Google website and click the camera icon on the far right. This will open a window allowing you to upload an image. Press search and it will show you the results.
But what if you’ve seen something in real life and want to know more? Well, just start the camera app and find the Google Lens option. Once you find it, click on an image and your phone will display various options. You can translate texts, copy written words, search for images, search for shopping apps, search for a location or even the name of a dish.
